The windows are open in my apartment. It's the 8th of January. This has been the worst winter of all time. The snow coverage is not supposed to look like this. And everyday The Current's DJ's report the weather like it's the best thing we've ever experienced. They say things like "well it's looking like it's going to be in the upper 40's today, hopefully all that new snow will melt away." But it's getting to be the middle of January, that is not normal. Don't you think it's a bad thing? Direct effect of global warming. Just incase you didn't know, global warming is not a good thing. Not at all. I just hate it when people make it seem like it's such a blessing to have this messed up weather at this time of year.

Burton Balance from 2000. I wasn't aware that the painting is a tribute to the passing of Jamil Kahn. I was reading about the artwork on Travis Rice's artwork site Asymbol. He helps curate all the art from the sounds of it. There's some awesome stuff on the site, I might have to pick up a print of this one here. Apparently Mike lost touch with the original painting and had to do another one. If you're familiar with this graphic you'll be able to tell how it's different. Still looks amazing though. I'd ride one of these boards in a second if I could today.

Garretts bday was yesterday. We hung out in the front yard skating, lawn darting, beering, frisbee throwing, soccer ball hacking, grilling, Jameson shotting, and then I biked to the beach and swam. From MN he's off to Collingwood Ontario, Canada for Wakestock. He's got some serious mileage ahead of him. It's about 2100 miles from Collingwood to Coco Beach FL where he lives. Big ol road trip.
